The 180 cloves of “German White” (is that racist?) garlic I planted in October is now about an inch above the straw. Skip gave me the idea of growing and selling organic garlic to my local farm stand. So I asked and they said they would be interested in buying all I produce.
Soooo, shutdown of the Stewart is tentatively scheduled for 01/01/18.

There's a lot to be sad for the home grown. We planted some garlic last fall and crossed our fingers. Hopefully it will do well and we can expand the garden.michaelanthony wrote: ↑Mon. Mar. 12, 2018 9:21 pm04/01/18 is the heart of winter up here lol!
My boss gave a little salt shaker filled with home grown, dried, and pulverized garlic powder. Best stuff ever.
In the meantime, Melissa found a little old lady who sells garlic out of a kids wagon in front of her house. Keeps well for months. We tied it up in bundles and hung it up in the kitchen. I'm surprised how it's not all dried out when we cut it up - even with the heat of the coal range making the kitchen hottest room in the house. And, the flavor is far better than the dried-out, bland garlic at the supermarkets.

It should be tasty! The local farm stand gets $5 a head
