invested in a buff motor and have the #30 standing tall and shiney!...lit the seasons fire yesterday....she is so happy and pretty it just doesn't seem real that at only 114 yrs. young she is settin here in my 28X48 shop makin it TOASTY at a cruise...primary's almost shut and damper at 90 degrees closed...got good wind and November cold...she is happy....finally found a broker locally that is now carrying "STOVE" size coal so I got a ton to try when the temps drop...for now "NUT" is doin jut Dandy..lookin forward to when winter really kicks in and I can try the stove coal.

Yup, they were designed to heat and that they do. Have a good heating season. Matt

There is a mystique to these things just sitting there and then in addition it makes you warm and comfortable.

Was the stove painted or black polished?

here ya go Nort!...just use Williams stove polish and the buffer made the Nickle plating shineeeeey again aint she Purdy!...she si puuuuurin away.

That's a nice looking stove! And isn't it amazing how after a hundred years they still run well? I wonder what their working life span is - 200? 300? years?

Tim..... Great looking stove. She is a work of art. They really knew what they were doing back then and could be proud of the results.

You could probably hear me whistle all the way from here, she is centerfold material! One note, nothing wrong with mixing the stove size and 'nut size together it works really well for me and it allows you to tune it in to your liking :D

THX gents for the reviews on the polishin will try mixin the stove n nut when it gets cold.....again thanks for the tip M.A.

Yes the Glen is really Purdy but the problem for me is that I don't know what means Purdy :oops:

William I am still at a crossroads with the wife on that one ...lol ...she loves her "CATCH ALL ROOM".....basically until I can get her to LET GO of some of her stuff she has plans for the wall I want to remove and open up that area off the kitchen for my baseburner is still off limits...SIGH!...SOMEDAY I HOPE

Terrific job Tim. Looks like it just rolled out of the show room !!!!!! You sure can be proud (and warm) with that one.

I thought my Sunny was old, I'm not familiar with the Glenwoods that early. Would you mind posting details and features of that model ?
