Darn - I just spotted a beautiful Thomas Our Herald full base heater for $500.00 on Craigslist in Wallingford CT.

I was exploding with anticipation, but some else already snagged it!

I called and actually reached the seller. He said he had sold it for a local diner.

I told him it was one of the ULTIMATE coal stoves, which I lust for.

OH Well

I'll keep looking - They're still out there - Chris

To bad. It will probably end up as a dust collecting object in the corner that people throw their used napkins in. What a shame.

Contact the new owner and see if they would sell it to you at a small profit. You would be surprised how much you can accomplish with some friendly small talk and ego stroking along with a little profit cash. How bad do you want the stove? The purchase of my coal chubby Jr only required some small talk mostly about base ball and I had a coal stove at a very very cheap price. It was painless and I enjoyed the conversation with the seller. So, how bad do you want the stove? This may even save the stove from a scrap yard in the future. . . . . . . . . .

When I spoke with the seller, he indicated he sold it for cash to the first buyer. It would probably be impossible to locate that person. I do still have the seller's number (I think) if anyone's interested in trying.
