I will have pics on Saturday. Yes the stove was in Avon. The pot size is 11inches round and it is DEEP. Haven't measured how deep it is but it is very deep. (At least to me) Should have no problems with 24 plus hours burns. I will measure the depth and let you know.

Pierre

I have the stove at my house. Turned out Larry didn't need to do anything to the stove. It is in GREAT shape and ready to use. Once I put her back together and get the her in her new spot in the house. .

Tim

I am so happy I got this unit. A fully functional piece of history. Amazing!! I have a funny feeling this will not be the only Antique stove I will own.. Already have my eye on another....
Now, don't hog them all!

You'r right One Dollar, once you get ""contaminated"" from these Antique stoves it's hard to get only one in the house.
What a nice and warm contamination

Better late than never... A couple of pics of the Crawford #2. Moving slowing than I would like getting her hooked up but that is ok. Not something I want to rush....The firepot is close to 15 inches deep.

Randy

Thanks! My apologies for not getting photos up sooner.

I am still in awe of how good of shape this stove is in. I was fully prepared to put some serious cash into getting her ready but instead I can buy more coal with that money.

All that is left to do is round up three friends who can lift the stove up while I postition the base of the stove so everything fits perfectly. Once that is done it will be time to fire her up. The stove will stand on a nice hearth rug once completed. I had 3 people lined up yesterday but one of them didn't arrive till over an hour later than expected. Hence the other two had to leave as this was only supposed to be a 15 mins job tops.

I have decided I am going to decorate the wall behind the stove with coal and woodstove items. Old pokers, coal ads, trivets ect ect.

That sounds nice, I am sure it will look beautiful. Very similar in design to the Glenwoods which I also like.

I would like to re-do my hearth area too but I have a lot of construction projects on the outside of the house this spring so the hearth will have to wait. I got my stove fully operational yesterday and it is doing really well. I am going to try to take some photos of it in operation this weekend.

Well Joan is much better than "Coalina" that I came up with! All are welcome to make suggestions. 8-)

Well, the stove is pretty masculine looking to be calling it Joan anyway. I am having a hard time giving mine a name too...right now I just say have to feed the Gem.
