After some hesitation, I bought a City Glenwood # 14 coal stove.

I consider this a starter stove, as I plan on upgrading to a Glenwood 109 or 111 after gaining some experience with this unit.

It was too hard to pass up on this stove as I bought it for two hundred dollars. 8-)

Here are some pictures.

You finally got a stove!! Good for you. I'm really happy for you. The City Glenwood will be a perfect stove to learn on if you have never had a stove before. We are all here to help you along so be confident. Now, if you don't mind can we have some measurements and dimensions? This is an opportunity for us to learn about this series of stoves. I'm guessing it has a fourteen inch firepot and will maybe hold up to 50 pounds of coal if you pack it tight. Also has it been taken apart and resealed in the past 90 years? Do the doors fit tight? Is the spring on the damper tight? 'I want to hear all about it.

Thanks Lobster, William and Pierre!

I'm a little preoccupied with outside lawn projects right now, but I'll document the stove in detail when I begin working on it.

Thanks again for the kind words everyone!

One more question-The stove is equipped with an indirect back pipe isn't it?
