Well after having my Glenwood up and running for a while now and enjoying the AWESOME HEAT, I noticed a few days ago a little soot building on the Micra, tryed just a quick wipe with a terry cloth ..worked OK ..but still smokey lookin ...
Here's a tip, take that same terry cloth towel and spray the end with "FANTASIC"..household cleaner to make it moist..and open the door holding the door with a heat resistant glove...(my wife sent me down an old oven mit) ...lol ...and WIPE AWAY ...in just a few seconds that funk is gone from the Mica even while HOT ...with no adverse effects!
...only thing ya gotta watch is that the Fantastic will turn to steam and burn your fingers if ya don't do it quick or have another glove...lol
But ANYWAY my winders are squeky clean and it only takes a few seconds.
Later,
Tim

I use baby wipes. They work really well but like you said, they get hot if you aren't fast enough.
