Dug this up out in the yard today:

Sure looks like part of the top of the coal stove that once sat in the kitchen. I have found other pieces of it before, I wouldn't be surprised if the whole stove is out there.

I've found teeth and bones, I assume from a long-dead farm or wild animal.

No Chevy parts here that I know of. At the house where I grew up there's a small-block Chevy buried next to the garage, :shh: control arms for a '54 Chevy under the new garage floor, etc.

I keep finding coal everywhere as well, guess lots of ash was dumped here as well. I'm adding to it.

The teeth and bones were probably from the last one to try.

Reminds me of that Chinese guy on the old James Bond movies, that decapitated people by throwing his derby like a frisbee.

Nah, nobody buries a Chevy -- we just keep fixing 'em & drive 'em forever. ;)

Every time I dig in my yard, I unearth something too! I had to run conduit last week & found a chunk of anthracite, chunks of a pool liner, plastic cigar butts, a nice piece of steel rod about 1/2" around & a foot long, & some 2/0 aluminum wire about 9" long. That was only a foot down! My whole yard is a landfill...

Wish I had a backhoe -- I bet I'd find cars! Every once in a while, something comes to the surface on it's own. Found a truck rim, an old 60's pickup truck gas cap, a tail light from the 50's or 60's & a pedal crank for a bicycle last month.
