Dixie "No Smoke", coal or wood?

Saw an old thread about this stove asking if it was a coal or woodburner and I don't think it was definitively answered. Most references I found online refer to it as a woodburner. Here's a couple pics including a good one inside.
Am I the only one that thinks this has gotta be coal?

Coal Size/Type: Nut
Other Heating: newmac wood/coal combo furnace

If the grate wasn't covered in ash, you would know.
