I picked up another 523. Pretty much the same shape as my other one.
I’m also in the middle of a room renovation. I brought the stove in for a fit up. The stove is also under renovation.
I intend to have it a few inches from the chimney. I’ll be putting a heat shield up. I have to decide what to do about the plaster on the chimney as it appears to have wall paper with a layer of paint over it. I hate to chip all the plaster off the brick but that might be easier then trying to get the painted wall paper off. I tried a few spots and it pulls the plaster with the paper.
Another warm morning for the house

No need for a heat shield--just knock the plaster off.
