I don’t know if anyone can answer this question or not but I have an Ashley cac coal circulator. I live in a mobile home and the stove is in a closed in back porch. I’m about to buy a new mobile home and as the stove is not mobile home approved I will have an issue with homeowners insurance (don’t currently have any as the trailer is so old no one will insure it). I would like to keep my stove if I can does anyone know a way around it. Can I put it back in a set up like I have now since it’s not actually inside the mobile home? I’m wondering if that’s the reason my stepdad put it there all those years ago but as hes passed on I can’t ask him. If anyone has any insight it would be greatly appreciated I don’t want to give up ol Smokey lol.

The approved stoves have a dedicated primary air intake to the outside. The fear is that with the tightness of a mobile home the oxygen will be consumed by a stove.

Unfortunately if the stove actually says it is not UL approved for a mobile home, no one will sign off on it. The only loop hole is to buy a stove that was made before anything was UL approved, so it would be exempt.
