Hitzer 254 burning bit (pics)

So I’ve had my 254 for a week and have been burning bit. This is the most comfortable heat I’ve ever experienced. Long burn times, low and steady without temp swings, much different than wood burning. I’ve got some anthracite I’ll be burning too but wanted to try bit first. It’s been in the low 30’s here so I’ve had to keep a low burn. Can’t wait till the temperature really drops so I can really crank her up. Not much going on in the box but I took some pics.

How is the stove liking the bit coal?

It’s doing really well so far! I’m getting 12-14 hr burn times. Even when it was single digits like this past Monday. It’s keeping the house between 74-78 degrees. My house is around 1200sq/ft and somewhat drafty with uninsulated floors. Ive had a couple small puffbacks but nothing major. I’ve been burning nut and lump size.

Glad its doing well.

I get a puff once in a while too if its big enough it will blow the soot out.

At those indoor temps what were your stove temperatures and what was the outside temps like?
