Well, after taking a few days off from work and getting the WC 130 installed and fired up its a total new experience for me!!!! . I have it hooked up to the 3500 sq ft of house that has radiant and also plumbed to a coil in an electric blower unit putting some warm air into the house . As a dump zone I installed a medium size Dayton ceiling hung heater in the garage. My garage has never been so warm. I don't have the coil with the fan for the house hooked up to electric yet so I am using the dump zone heater for now.The little WC 130 only has one 1 1/2 supply and I knew or at least suspected it might be sized a little small for me but it was an experiment too. I fired it with bit coal and wood yesterday and last night at bedtime, I put in a large piece of wood that was not well seasoned. I turned off the draft inducer fan and went to bed, with the old warm air funace I would have woke to a small bed of coals and some red glow,,, but this morning I went to the garage, after being so happy last night with its first fire,,, and found a water puddle at pipe at rear, water running out the ash pit door, and a smelly mess of creosote in the whole garage,, at first I thought I had a bad leak but after cleaning up the mess and getting the fire going again, it all dried up and all is clean and good . It was condensation from the firebox cooling down, so I am going to have to learn to burn it hot and let the draft fan work as it should,,, I am asking a lot of the small boiler and I am seeing temps in the 135 range, but without making it go nuclear with all the draw on the boiler, I feel that what I thought its true,,, its a little small for the job. I went today and bought 6 bags of anthracite from tractor supply to try. and for a few days,,, and see how it goes,, I believe if I am not going to be able to burn much wood in this stove, I can save it for the body shop warm air furnace and maybe buy a stoker this summer and install it, and have a load of coal delivered from pa. I am very happy with the fact that my floor is getting good 120 degree water that before the only way I could get it was with the lp tankless heater. will snap a few pictures and post later tomorrow afternoon. I am running my circulators constant so it keeps everything toasty warm in the floors. :out:

I'm a bit concerned about the water issue, but congratulations! You really want to burn anthracite in it 24/7, and not wood.

Plan on burning coal, not wood...unless you want a big mess with creosote. If you do want to burn wood on occasion, it needs to be dry and the boiler needs to be fired hard. Also - You do not want to run that boiler at 135 degrees all the time. It should be hooked up with a bypass so you can throttle the load and keep the boiler above 150 degrees.

 Well, its been about 2 weeks with the New Yorker 130 and I have all the water to air coils in place and working, also the radiant is hooked up and we have had a few nights in the 20's. I have to fire it pretty hard so I feel I really need a larger unit, but the 5000 sq ft is warm, even the garage is warm and although the radiant in garage is not in the game, its keeping the garage a pleasant 60 -65 all the time. I am posting pictures of the install, I have a small electric furnace with plenum overtop the boiler that has a water to air coil in it.. I basically bought it for the fan and the 10k back up heat was not expensive so I bought it too,, about 60 bucks!. I am looking hard at an AHS multi fuel unit but the little new Yorker has sold me on the idea that I needed a boiler,,, its the most wonderful piece of equipment I have ever owned!!!! just a dab small for my application,,,, I know in the install I am running the pumps on small cords,, but they are hd ones,, and I left off a lot of isolation valves , but this thing is small and easy to drain if I needed to, I had to once to fix a small leak we had in a pipe,,, so its not a big deal but if I put in the new ahs unit, I will have most of my system in place and it will be much easier to install than this was since I had to add all the water to air stuff.. here are the pictures,,, I get lots of warm air for the laundry room from that little box fan so don't laugh!!!!... I am open to all advice on the install so next time I can tweak it,, but its 25 outside tonight, 15 mph wind and 75 in the house!!!!

Your running no pressure? Or is your gauge broke?

Never mind, saw the other pic.

What kind of burn times are you getting with the WC 130?
