That was interesting.
Went to the garage to stoke up the fire and it was almost out.
Last night I filled the barrel and reduced the damper openings on the primary and MPD.
Apparently, too much?
I took a pan of ashes out and there was soot all over the snow.
It was a little hard to turn the grates ( I lost the tool somewhere) but the ashes were different than in the past.
Previously, they were all powder but, today, they were lumpier.
There were some fines in the coal I used.
Wonder if that stopped the air.
Also, wondering if poor draft could be one of my problems.
I don't have a mano on this stove.
I knew that my stack was barely high enough when I put it in.
It draws but hasn't sucked one of the cats in yet.
I had to restart the fire on the top today because I had a magazine that was still over 1/2 full
