I got a snorkel stove in my hot tub.

Would bituminous burn in it? I got a small grate and tried anthracite but I think the air over the fire was too great to allow it to keep burning. I never seen bituminous coal except years ago in a pile at a power plant that switched to oil. I never seen it sold around here. Where do you get it?

Bit needs a grate for under fire air, and some overfire air.

If you succeed and continue to burn biituminous coal in your hot tub, you are difinalty one of the the few.

I think this falls under onw of those thing that could be done, but probalby shouldn't be done, all bituminous coal I've heard of smokes some when hand fired.

If you want to get it from the mine, you'll need to travel to the western 1/3 of PA to get it. There is a coal yard near Harrisburg that carries bit, not who carries it though that is close to CT. Might be worth calling a few coal yards and see if anyone has some.
