Does anyone burn bituminous in a hitzer 55 stove I am looking into buying one but I like to burn bituminous because of the price. I am paying $70 a ton right now for over size bituminous coal about in miles from my house. Thanks

I'd call Hitzer directly. Ask Dean if they have any problems burning Bit coal in the 55 or 82. Does your Bit coal swell and stick together, creating a bridge over the fire? You may have to tend to a Bit coal fire more often than an Anth. coal fire, but for the cost difference well worth the extra attention.
