Yo, Mikey....are you trying to sleep with the fishes?
Another note... Shouldn't the MPD go before the baro?

I rarely use the mpd if I close it the mano will drop .02 if needed and it helps during the many blizzards and wind whipping off the mile high mountain behind me. It comes in handy for a wood fire, I take out the baro and cap the pipescalabro wrote:Yo, Mikey....are you trying to sleep with the fishes?

I know many have their reservations but, personally I like an MPD above the baro. It effectively makes the baro's job much more efficient. The baro doesn't need as much air to do its job with an MPD partly closed above it.

The old argument may have related to the solid mpd's, my made in china mpd looks like a jack-o-lantern and might be 5 and a half inches across so no worries about a flue gas reversalLightning wrote:I know many have their reservations but, personally I like an MPD above the baro.
