Hot Air Coal Stoker Stove: keystoker 105

I need to install outside air for my keystoker 105 DV and need to know how far it should be from my direct vent exhaust. I plan to use 3 " PVC, the white thick wall type. Is this what most people are using?
Thanks for any input or tips on doing this.

I don't believe there is any minimum distance since the air being pulled in is going into the stove not the living space. The Harman DVC 500 pulls air through a jacket that surrounds the DV exhaust so essentially it pulls it very close to the outlet.

That makes sense. I hope the building inspector will see it that way. :) Anyone else have thoughts about this?
