I use one of those inline duct fans with my Keystoker to help move the warm air to main floor from the stove in the basement. I currently use one of those ductstat controllers to operate the fan but runs more than I would like. Can I just run a line and tie into the connection for the blower on the stove itself? That way the duct fan would only run when the blower is running. I don't thing the draw would be to great considering you an purchase and install a 325CFM blower to replace the 265CFM with no mods. to the stove. I may someday purchase a larger blower but this works fine for now. Thanks.

I'm not an electrician but I don't think your duct fan will draw so much power that you couldn''t just tie into the line (from the stove to the blower) after the stove's thermostat. That way, both the blower & the duct fan would be controlled by the stove.ceccil wrote:hat's what i'm wondering about. The blower is controlled by the stove itself (no plugs) and I wanted to tie the duct fan into the same line as the blower. Just wanted to be sure it was ok to do this.
