There is no insulation, air flows through the gaps between the metal layers. Sorry I don't have a pic,,, Wait...waytomany?s wrote: ↑Tue. Mar. 22, 2022 8:56 pmHow is triple wall set up? Air gap between both layers or insulation first layer, air gap second layer? Someone post a pic so we can figure this out. Right side up preferably, I have vertigo.
I googled "triple wall chimney pipe" and came up with this.
https://www.northlineexpress.com/8-x-36-duraplus- ... -6933.html
"The innovative triple wall construction is designed to stay cool on the outside, and provide hot drafts on the inside to boost stove efficiency which in turn, makes for a fire-safe construction that protects both the chimney as well as the building. The triple wall chimney features 2 insulating layers. A ceramic blanket and air space provide security to the design. The ceramic blanket insulation is held securely in position eliminating hot spots common with loose-fill type insulations. In the event of a creosote fire, the compressible blanket insulation allows the chimney liner to expand outwardly in a radial direction."
Maybe I am wrong about it not being able to hold a draft?

Ok, now the question is, can single wall pipe be attached to the triple wall? Is there an adapter for that?StokerDon wrote: ↑Thu. Mar. 24, 2022 7:21 pmThere is no insulation, air flows through the gaps between the metal layers. Sorry I don't have a pic,,, Wait...
