I no longer have coal truck access to my coal bin. Built a garage and it blocks the run up to it. When I did it I switched to bagged coal but now that bagged coal is $275 a ton I'm thinking a vacuum set-up may be worth the effort. This is what I am thinking, does this look correct? Am I missing anything? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

You might want a dust collector in front of the vacuum... Without one, you'll use 3 or 4 times more bags and filters. I'd also recommend a way to "jiggle" your pickup end. It will probably run dry and clog up often and need a quick thump to get it to restart (although, rice will work a little better than the buck I use and shouldn't clog or run dry as easily).

Did this plan ever come to fruition?
