My coal Vac system works quite well but for 1 90 degree elbow. It is at the end where the coal is probably travelling the fastest and wear out the outside edge and a leak occurs. I usually get 3 months out of an elbow before I have to replace it @$2.50.
Yesterday I replaced it after just 2 months.
So as I am limited in space I need to stay with this size elbow , which is a sweep.
Wondering about adding some type of "wear strip" on the interior?
Any thoughts would be great!
Replacement $ is not the issue annoyance is!!
Thanks!

Can you squeeze a long sweep 90 in there? Mine are going on 4 years, using 6 tons per year...

You can also use a tee with the end plugged. When it runs, the plugged end fills with coal and acts as a wear surface for the rest of the charge. When the charge stops, most of the plugged coal falls out.
Look up a product called the Pellbow. This is just a poor man's Pellbow.
