Thermostatically Contolled Plug/Extension Cord?

I'm trying to get my son-in-law set up for his new coal stove & want to put a fan in my granddaughter's floor to blow warm air up from the basement. I want to plug this fan into a Thermostatically Controlled Plug....like an extension cord with a thermostat built in. Anyone ever seen one like this & know where I can get one? (I know I could hard wire a line voltage thermostat in the room but am lazy!)

I was thinking along the lines of this but with a plug in it.

That one unless I'm wrong has a cord for the wall and a socket to plug into on it

I guess that one would work since the fan will be mounted under the floor or in the wall anyway.

There is the DuctStat that can be used to operate up to a 5 amp source...

Lowes or home depot have thermostats for inline duct fans wich you could make work without to much effort.

I use the DuctStat for my fan control to move the air around the basement, then in the summer put it in the attic to control the Attic fan in the window..... this place has a lot of neat stuff.

I also have a Ductstat controller. I think it is defective (heat and cooling switch appears to be wired backwards) If I have it on heat the thing never turns off. When I turn it to cool, it gets up to 70' then the fan will shut down. Other than that it works pretty good.

It's a fan that sits on top of the register and has a built in thermostat.

Thanks but I bought one last year & returned it. Makes a great noise maker but doesn't move any air!

Devil this one at http://www.smarthome.com/3018.html seems like what you are looking for? You should be able to add what ever fan you want http://www.airboosterfans.com/duct-fan.html can be wired direct to 110 volt for continuous operation.

Thanks for all the advice guys but some of the suggestions are overkill in terms of $$$$. I think I'll stick with this which will do the job for only $17.00.
