Just a reminder to make sure you have a CO detector and smoke detector installed and functioning. Unfortunately three people lost their lives over a malfunctioning coal furnace in Coal port Pa this week . Very sad and avoidable accident if they had a CO detector.

that is sad. I have 3 or 4 throughout the house. 1 near each stove, hallway before bedrooms. plus smoke detectors too.
I had one say end of life last year, it was 10 years old, it just started beeping, and wouldn't stop. and said END or something on it, then checked the date, sure enough, 10 years old.

Not only coal but any fuel; wood, gas, and oil.
