I am thinking of installing a coal stove and venting it through my fireplace. I already have a stainless steel chimney. Since this goes through the chimney, are there any rear vented coal stoves other then one made by Hitzer which is too high for my lintel or the Chubby?

Thank you very much - Texas 123.

What’s the height from the hearth to the top of the fireplace?

What’s the length of the outer hearth?

I have a Harmon MK II and it is setup the way you want to set your stove up. The Harmon Mark series are all rear vent. Legacy stoves now owns the Harmon coal line. If you want to check out the specs here is their website.

You could canvas antique restoration shops for candidates.

Lintel height on 3' wide fireplaces "should" be 29-30 inch.

On mine the hearth to lintel is 26 1/2". I don't have the leg base on my Harmon; instead I put it on metal electrical junction boxes on all 4 corners raising it up 1 1/2' off of the slate hearth which gives me plenty of clearance for the flue pipe.

Be careful with stainless steel and coal.

A few feet of SS flex to get into the flue pipe is not bad. Most chimney guys have done laying around.
