I am installing a new Duravent Chimney and DVL Double Wall Pipe on the inside. Trying to get all my measurements correct before I order, and cut holes in the wall. I have very tight clearance and want to maximize the initial vertical pipe.
Hearth Pad is 1 1/2 in
Stove is 37 in
Parts I am ordering are below, but I am looking to know if someone knows what the actual distance from the top of the stove, to the Highest Point on the 90 Elbow using the Durvent Double Wall Stove Pipe.
6'' DVL Double-Wall Black Tee with Clean-Out Cap - 6DVL-T - Installing the Field Controls 6RC
6'' x 18'' DVL Double-Wall Black Stove Pipe - 6DVL-18
6'' DVL 90 Degree Double-Wall Black Elbow - 6DVL-E90
6'' x 18'' DVL Double-Wall Black Stove Pipe - 6DVL-18
6'' DuraTech Finishing Collar with Adapter-6DT-FC
Approximate Measurements I have found
6DVL-T=13
6DVL-18=18
6DVL-E90=10
That would be a total of 41 inches above the stove for a total of 79.5", My Drop ceiling is at 88" so with 8" clearance to ceiling I have .5" to spare. If my measurements are off I could be in trouble. The 90 is the part that I am really concerned about.
Second part is from the 90 to the wall adapter, I have the 90 Elbow to18" pipe to the Collar, So Depending on the 90 and the collar I am about 20"

I agree with Fred. You'll get more replies with photos.
Its possible the measurements are on duravents website. I might have an elbow here but I bought it so many years ago they may have changed the dimensions. Theres a little wiggle room as you can slightly tilt them, just not a lot. They also make an adjustable straight piece that is worth its weight in gold in straight runs for ease of installation.
One of the problems is matching it up with standard pipe if you ever need to do that as they made sure they dont match up when they made them so you need yet another adapter or have to cobble it together. FWIW you can use good single wall pipe and use a sheet of steel or a stove pipe cut in half length wise for a heat shield around the pipe where its needed for clearance.
