Stoker Coal Boiler: Modified AA 130

Do we have a thread dedicated for coal deliveries? I thought it might be neat to start one.

Anyways, I had 6 tons delivered yesterday which was conveyed right into my basement bin. This is pea size coal from Jeddo Mammoth Vein, for the Axe. The noise from the coal landing on that metal chute was deafening. I wore ear plugs, dust mask and glasses while moving coal around in the bin. Here are a couple short snippets of the event lol.

Feel free to add on pics and videos of your deliveries OR of your methods if you go get your own. It might be interesting to see all the different ways and to help new people inspire ideas on how they could get theirs.

Don’t know if the moderators want me to post this here but if not I suppose it can be moved. Here is a short video I made last Winter that is a little glimpse into our delivery systems:

Nothing like that feeling of a full bin going into winter. Cool videos! I'll be unloading 5 tons of Lehigh rice today and will shoot some video. I use a grain auger with an assist from a leak blower. I have to lift the coal up to a PVC pipe but due to the shallow angle on the pipe it needs a push. Works great and allows me to fill the bin to the floor joists.
