We just returned from a long vacation and prior to going I shut down my KA2 and did a cleaning. Usually I pull the vent pipe but didn't this time.
So yesterday I fire it up and head back up stairs. Not long after the CO Dectector starts. Took a minute to figure it out as it has never gone off before. I go back to the basement and look and reset it but it starts up again. So I opened the window and door and start again. The detector keeps going. Finally it stops but just for a bit.
Well maybe I have leaky flue pipes and need to replace. So out to the hardware store for some of the parts and then to an Amish store for the rest. All the tools are on the basement floor and I'm ready to go.
So I start taking the flue pipe off and.....
I had forgotten I had stuffed fiberglass insulation in the flue pipe to isolate the boiler!
Restarted and the basement is quite!
Well at least I am ready for flue replacement!!
CO Dectector gone wild!!!

Ha! Fred you hit that nail right on the head! Sometimes I write myself notes but then forget to look at them.
