Cleaned the efm today and took some pictures . I agree nothing is like a masonry chimney, but it should be inside the house with as little outside as possible. Here is what 10 year old 316 ti smoke pipe look after 10 years of coal burning. The fly ash never gets wet and pipe is insulated within a schedule 40, 10 "pipe that is 30 ft high. The reddish look is high temp sealant staining . Sorry about the incorrect rotation.
