Been burning wood the last few days. This stove works great in the shoulder seasons.

Floor protection seems to work well. The stove has a heat shield underneath and on the back. I think I’ll put one on the stove pipe too.

Nice Fireview! Which model Fireview? What’s your plans for when you stop burning wood? Does it have the catalyst and 2ndary burn tubes?

Thanks!!

It just has the catalyst. it’s the Woodstock Fireview 205.

I’m thinking about selling it although I really don’t want to but no longer have a free wood source.

Well I got the the replacement stove for the Woodstock this weekend and brought into the house.

Let’s see how knowledgeable you seasoned veterans are and have another round of “Name That Stove!!”

A few subtle hints: Made in Indiana

Last letter in its name ends with an “M”

Sneak preview photo snap.....

I should have known. LOL!!!! How old is the Woodstock? Those are supposed to be some nice wood stoves. I can't remember if it's a hybrid stove or just a CAT stove. I believe just a CAT stove. Supposed to give off real even heat for a wood stove, but I bet it can't compete with T.O.M.

It’s a cat stove. It’s real nice. Keeps the dining room about 74 and the living room 68 in the shoulder seasons but it can’t hold it during winter. My old split face block house isn’t insulated. Just plaster lathe over the block. I need a big heater to constantly pump heat into this place.

I have the small version of the Hotblast in the basement. It will heat the house but runs out of fuel while I’m at work.

Steve also gave me the warm Morning 524. It will go in the basement and I’m thinking about building a shroud around it so I can put a blower on it and plumb my ductwork to it. 200lbs of coal should last while I’m at work. I should be able to idle it with Tom upstairs.
