I need to replace the flashing cone on a GSW double wall 6" chimney because its shot.

Im guessing any brand will work? GSW is no longer in business. I believe they were bought by Selkirk.

I know interchanging the pipe is not allowed but i can't see any reasin not to interchange the flashing?

Any objections?

As long as the new flashing can pass the pipe through with clearance I think you are good to go. You will need the storm collar as well.
