Hello All,

I'm in lehigh valley PA and looking to buy or build a coal bin that holds 3 ton of nut coal. Any help would be appreciated.
I'm open to build one myself just not sure of the dimensions or materials. The bin would be inside my garage so i'm not worried about any outdoor elements. Blueprints to build one would be great.... Thanks in advance

Rob

this should help you with sizing the bin

i have an approx 5x10x5 bin in my basement that i built out of 2x4's and 5/4x6 decking.....definitely overkill.
the bin i had at my old place was 4x8x4 all plywood and 2x4 frame and held about 3 tons full.

If you are putting it in garage and expect high lift delivery service it needs to be directly next to garage door opening or have other access from outside. Ideally a window/access on the wall a foot or two above bin centered on the bin.
