Hi all,
Wonderin' about my draft.Manometer is about .06 with it surging today with high winds as much as .08. Mfr recommends. 04. It's still warm here during the day.
Question is, should I adjust baro now or wait for colder weather? I am running my stoker on its lowest setting and it is working fine with no smells or co. I have co detectors throughout my house also a handheld by my stove.
I know there's a wealth of knowledge on coalpail so thank you in advance.
Yes, another manometer question

.08 is more draft than .04. In other words with the high winds your chimney is sucking more heat from stove. Typically the baro is adjusted during a typical heat load on the stove, and that would also mean during colder outdoor temperature.

Ok, I copy both answers. Winds have died down now and stove is steady at .06 but I think its be cause it's still warm.

Your welcome
As it gets colder outside and the appliance works harder to meet heating demand the chimney draft will increase. So you may or may not need to adjust it again later during the heating season.
