Yeah, most likely I'm going to use a hay/grain elevator. Which I need to get either way. It's going to be really nice having all that coal available. And not having to pick any up during the winter.

Yeah it sure will be nice to have an ample supply of coal. I used to pickup just a ton at a time in my truck throughout the heating season. It was a pain, but doable when I was burning stove coal in a hand fed stove. A little snow or water didn't hurt anything. Now with the stoker and rice coal it's a no go with wet or frozen coal. I bought a dump trailer and can make one trip to the breaker in early October and tarp it and it will drain and dry before freezing weather comes. The trick is to get just enough coal so that it is all gone by spring so I can use the dump for gravel or dirt or other maintenance tasks.

If you have the time check out farm sales in your area. They usually start as early as March. You probably can pick up a used elevator for a reasonable price.
