Got my second load for the winter of my Blaschak Chestnut from HWZ Coal Yard of Cassandra pa. I usually go thru two 2.5 ton loads a winter. Although this Year , Ive been going thru coal faster than normal thanks to our near zero and below temps lately. So much for "Global Warming"
This Blaschak coal always looks shiny and pretty. Stove door open with Dancin' Blue Ladies. Actually these are a very psychedelic looking Purple.

looks like your really "cooking" its amazing the heat a small coal stove can produce! my Harman MK I can cook for a smaller stove but its location that "warms" surroundings even with spec clearances keeps me concerned, so i don't push it. i get my nut from Glen Burn-Harmony Mine, it burns good + their new washery has it looking better. got my typical 1/2 ton the other day, they were jammed with other pickups a a few big boys taking advantage of the warm spell

My next load of coal might have to come from Blaschak, simply because Lehigh is only open for retail sales on Saturday, and it looks like I won't be able to get my uncle's 2.5ton double axle dump trailer out and back in. But amazingly I managed to get the last 1/3 of a ton shoveled out of it an into my outdoor coal bin (which is a 7' long 1989 Ford Ranger pickup truck bed which sits bolted to wooden cribbing (railroad ties) just outside my patio door with the tailgate just under the edge of the patio roof and it has a fiberglass cap on it.

I find it annoying both that Blachak is twice as far as Lehigh, but also $25 a ton more, I honestly think Lehigh coal is better coal. and it's only 19 miles from my driveway to their driveway....

Jack,

Thanks replied to, but looking at my total supply I'm much less worried of running out than I was Yesterday...
