You are not supposed to put explosive stuff in the stove :P
Baro should slam shut when the explosion happens.

The goal is to prevent doing things that will cause an explosion in your stove.
I am in my 4th season of burning coal, had no explosion yet, had a few little whooshes like a lite sneeze :)
:) i know but before i learned burning this stove i have 4 / 5 times gas explotion because i phoke in the morning (no flame) and shut the ashdoor and after 20 min... booooooom and there the flames :) it was a heavy sound,,, once I had the ash door open al in my face 😂could have ended worse

We call that "puff back". There are ways to prevent that. If your stove has vents that let air over the fire, keep them open until the flames appear. If it doesn't, you can leave the load door open only a crack (1/4 inch or less) to let air over the fire until the flames appear.

No, leave it open to liven up the fire, if that is what you normally do.

I meant, leave the ash door open until the flames appear. Sorry, I'm trying hard not to confuse you ;)

As the draft increases from the chimney fire, the baro door will open and feed it oxygen.

Is that a sub anthracite coal? I wouldn't say your doing anything wrong. It looks like a nice fire ;)

The coal we use tends to have a lot of blue fire in it.
