Got my chimney brushes and fiberglass rods at my local hardware store. Was less expensive than the stove/fireplace stores I've been in.

- Coal Size/Type: nut and stove anthracite, lignite
- Other Heating: Wood and wear a wool shirt
If you have a steel chimney use a plastic brush for sweeping. A steel brush will scratch the chimney and cause a little bit of rust. Masonry chimney it wont matter that Im aware of.
