Rob,

I'm just using the standard L 8124c

I do know there is another tapping where I could put I think it is a L4006 ????? for a dump zone. Forget whether it would need the A or C model. Plus I would need to add another pump to make a 3rd zone for dumping only.

It should already have a L4006 as a overtemp control that kills power to the unit. If you run a timer, this is a must. It does not have one?

The original controls were 2 L 4006 aquastats. 1 in the front tapping to turn it on and make heat, and the other in the rear tapping to turn it off.

When I replumbed and rewired it, I tore all the old controls and wiring out. Too many wires hanging off the rafters to suit me. I added an L8124c aquastat to the front tapping. The 8124c controls 2 R845a relays. 1 for each zone circulator pump. Each side of the twin farmhouse has its own thermostat and is its own single zone.

There was an attempt to use a timer many, many years ago. However it was never hooked up properly so it was never used. There was no dump zone hooked into it either. That timer wiring was also removed by me.

Here is what it looked like when I was connecting everything:

I believe that PRV should be on the port at the top of the boiler near the water out bung. Never saw one on the side like that on anything. Not sure if it matters, maybe an expert will chime in on that.
