Get your coal sprayed with oil. My dealer sprays a 1/2 gal /ton and it works.

Welcome to the FORUM, I guess Jeff. How about some info in your profile about yourself? :) You gotta excuse tikigeorge, he's just real bashful, but been around for quite a while. His witness protection handler won't let him give out much info. toothy

Jeff B

Anthracite coal is mostly carbon, whereas bituminous is a hydrocarbon based

coal. When anthracite coal is heated you get carbon monoxide gas which burns

with a blue flame and is nearly sootless. In bituminous's case you have very

complex hydrocarbons which all distill off at different temperatures and

burn with a yellow flame and later in the cycle you get the same type of

flame (blue) as with anthracite. In this case you have to supply enough

additional air to completely combust all of hot gases in the secondary burn

to get all of the heat value from the fuel, and a sootless clean burn.

I use a old horse trailer for pick up and storage. I drilled out the spot welds on the top and kept the frame work for support. I just lay the top skin on the ground when I use it. They just dump on top the frame work of the top. Filled to top of doors will hold about 3 ton. I get funny looks when I go to a place at fist and I hear you can't get a ton in that thing. I say you want to bet,its small but deep? Most tell me thats a good idea after filling it up. Best pulling trailer I have used, all weight is over axles. I use it to haul stone, mulch, and live stock in the summer. Best $300 I ever spent :D

That is the best use of a horse trailer I have ever seen.

Its not big, or fancy. Holding 6300 #'s nut right to the top. Going to get 2 more wood pallets add to left side(4'w X 8'D), and get an additional 1.5 tons pea, also thinking od adding to right side, and getting some stove size. This is made with 4 wood pallets as base. Basically its 8'x8'. or there abouts.

Smart design, keeping it simple has it's merit. Paint it green and it would blend in, just a thought.

I like it. Are the 4x4s set in the ground? Is that a metal frame for the lid?
