Just a tip on a snapped off and stuck Moen mixing valve.
Find a thin soldering tip iron . Melt away and chip out the nylon sides of the outer body.
Clean the copper bore, lube well with bag balm or equivalent , and install new valve.
Don't beat the fittings up !

My mixing valve ? Finally gave up on it after yet another drip drip drip leak.
Put in a sharkbite one in about 5 min.... once I got the part in
Updated ... understand now valve on shower/tub valve.
These are not easy but not too bad, if they were installed correctly.
Otherwise...a hole wall may need to be re-tiled....which isn't that bad but a pain

Boy, they can be a bugger. Sometimes we run two 3" drywall screws into the plastic and pull them out with 2 pliers. The last two I drilled out with a hole saw. Dennis
