I do not know what the ultimate problem is/was. I have not been able to replicate the issue. Hence the install of the secondary high limit switch.

I have the secondary limit switch set at 200*, the aquastat high limit set at 170* for now, low limit set at 140*, and the new secondary low limit for out fires is set at 120*.

As for the tridicator... I have temp gauges at the distribution manifold. The supply temp gauge has always agreed with the aquastat and the old tridicator. The aquastat and the manifold gauge still agree, but the new tridicator does not. I think I am going to just use separate temp and pressure gauges.
