Oiled Coal in a Vacuum System?

Thinking about getting oiled coal when my current supply runs out soon. Anyone else using oiled coal in a homemade dual shopvac transfer system? Just wondering if things would get gummed up/ruined over time?

Any input welcome.

The Keystokers KAA units cannot use oiled coal,
The oiled coal will clog the piping and mess up
the pusher plates ability to travel gumming it up
over time and it will be hard clean.

The same thing will occur with the piping and dry filters
in a vacuum coal system.

You need to stick with dry coal.

A guy I know said he uses it in his stove. Don't know what the stove brand is. That is why I asked here. I was skeptical of how the vacuum system would handle it. So Keystoker boiler ramps do not fair well with the oiled coal?

Hey there DS....when using a vac system to get it in the hopper, who cares if it is dry & a little dusty? The vac filter bags take care of that!

The pusher plate would get very dirty with the oiled coal dust and affect its ability to travel forward and back because the coal dust will adhere to everything it touches and build up.

With my system the dust I get is when the barrel over my boiler hopper dumps after turning off the shop vacs. I have never figured out a non-combustable seal for the top of the coal hopper which is flexible and easily allows visual inspection of how much coal is left in the hopper.

Would a short piece of pvc extending the outlet a little further into the hopper area help with the dust problem?

Why the non combustible? The PVC is combustible.
