Does it mater which side of the stove pipe it is in or does it just need to be between the barometric draft and the stove? Installing today hope this helps correct problems. thanks guys.
Sincerely,

You want to measure the STOVE draft, so it has to be closest to the stove, between baro and stove. Otherwise you are just measuring the chimney draft.

When you adjust your baro damper correctly, the guage should read -.02 - .04 typically. Sometimes a little higher or lower depending on how the stove is burning and how cold it is out side, but the baro should maintain pretty good draft once set. Many of us have it hooked up to read the RIGHT side (even tho that says positive draft, we know it's negative and the scale is a little better to read.)

There's a good thread on the Manonmeter Install, look thru that for ideas.

Free spirit, did you get the Dwyer mark II model 25?

If so, connect the low port on the mano to the pipe, leave the high port open to the room. As mentioned, this arrangement will allow you to read negative pressure on the positive side of the scale, where there is more scale to work with.

Well here it is guys my new set up! Getting the chimney looked at tomorrow will send my camera up with him so I can have some pictures to post. It says in my manual that my stove should be at 0.4 so how do I determine where my barometric damper should be set? Thank you for all your help.

When at full burn ajust the baro so the Dwyer reads to what the stove manufacter recommends usually .04

Looking at your gauge, it's reading .03, so you are close. The weight on the damper should be I think on the left side, since it's mounted horizontally, then adjust it accordingly. just make small adjustments on it. usually there are some marks on the baro slide bar, if you get it close to the 2-4 marks it should be pretty good.

FreeSpirit, looks good! Do you have brake line all the way to the gauge? My only concern would be that it is sealing well at the gauge. Other than that, very nice job.. :)

No I also have windshield washer hose from the brake line to the Dwyer. Should I put a piece of tape around the connections brake line to hose and hose to Dwyer? This is how it looks no fire burning yet.

No tape should be needed as long as the windshield washer hose seems to fit snuggly at both connections (brake line to hose, hose to gauge). You are showing draft pressure with no fire, this is a very good indicator that the connections are sealing. No worries, you know what yer doing.. Good job. :)
