Dwyer Draft Gauge

Does anyone know anything about this Dwyer draft gauge. Does it come with everything needed to use it and does it have to be a permanent fixture it is the cheapest one I could find.

It's the right one, and it should have the hose and oil and fitting. Nice price, especially with free shipping!

Well I just found out that the $28.80 item will cost $31.00 to ship because it is considered a hazardous material because of the oil. oh yea

Find one on ebay with the shipping price mentioned. Likely very few people, including myself, would know it was hazordous and just ship it normal. Just make sure it has the accessories, although there is nothing expensive required except the juice. Theres tons of info on here about installing them cheaply. And as asked, are your CO detector(s) working as thats a must have for coal?

I found one on Amazon $28.80 with free shipping it will be on its way. Yes my CO detectors are working. I plan on changing all of them this year because they are almost 4 years old. I have one that is on the hearth not far from the stove it's little blinking light is still blinking. I have it there because I run a ceiling fan all winter long in the living room. I have 10 first alerts that I purchased for $5.00 a piece when they were discoed at Shaw's So I am definitely all set on detectors. There is a big controversy on where they should be installed some say high some say low. I attempted my first burn with pea coal yesterday to season my grates it did not go well it definitely is different than my Efel. Today I did manage to get my nut coal to burn so today was a little better. I will try different methods till I hit on the one that best fits this stove. I am sure when my draft gauge gets here I will have plenty of questions. You guy's are so awesome thank you for all your help.

You will want to get metal tubing or brass connectors for the connection to your stove/pipe. The plastic fitting and vinyl hose will immediately melt otherwise.

If yer not too concerned about cosmetics, a 12 inch section of auto brake line, snuggly fit thru a drilled hole in the pipe, will work just fine.

That and a pitot tube would be great to find the airspeed of your appliance
