Has anyone designed or built a hopper style coal bin for an A&A stoker. I have a A&A 130 that I installed last summer and fed it from a 55 gallon drum this past winter. That worked well but required a lot of refilling. I want to build a more permanent , higher capacity coal bin for this winter with a hopper type bottom to keep the coal flowing to the auger. If anyone has plans or pictures that can give me some ideas it would be greatly appreciated.

Tiz,
If you don't mind a little shoveling after the level drops in the bin, just make it a rectangular box on the floor .
If you design it with sloped floors to keep feeding the auger, you will lose a lot of space that could potentially be storing more coal.
My bin holds 6 tons for my AA 260. That is packing it in to the floor joists at the 1 end. It will self feed for a good 3 tons. then I start shoveling it from the far end to stack it back up over the auger. I also put some boards in between 2 studs I installed to make a slot for the boards. This allows me to stack the last 1 1/2 tons right over the auger and doghouse.
The AA manual should show you the doghouse dimensions.
