Hot Air Coal Stoker Stove: Keystoker Koker controlled with CoalTrol

Post by WNYRob » Mon. Dec. 02, 2013 9:04 am

Yesterday I was trying out a new location for my thermostat and shut the control module down. Low and behold, about 3 hours later I noticed the room that the thermostat was in had dropped 3 degrees below its set point. I went down stairs and noticed the koker was awful dark. I opened it up and luckily still had about a two inch diameter worth of coal still red!!! After scratching my head for half a minute, I realized I forgot to turn the control module back on. Luckily, the module only controls the feed, on my system, so the combustion blower was still blowing. If my blower was still hooked to the coal trol, I definitely would have been lighting up again!!

So lesson learned, make sure you turn the little red switch back ON, after fooling around with your system!!!
