as I been using this set up coal boiler pri circ runs 24/7 all heating season, oil pri circulator isn't used.
as controls are now:
1. 4 zones 845a zone control w/cicrc with own T stats

2 coal pri circulator runs 24/7 via power supply to coal boiler aqustat controls.

3. oil boiler has pri circ but not wired to come on via any control. Plug in outlet during extreme cold snaps as needed.

looking at a taco 504exp with a PC702-1 staging relay to use for the boilers primary circulators (staging), based on sec manifold water temp. know I probably will have to use a cube relay for isolating coal circulator to turn it off/on when oil boilers pri circ turns on/off. Coal recovery is too slow duuring extreme snaps to keep up to demand. Plus I want coals primary circulator to only run when theres a heat demand by one of the 4 zones.

Anyone out there close by that can or is willing to help me with this? Ty in advance.

That is simple enough, run the circulator off the C1/C2 terminals in the triple aquastat on the coal boiler. You will also need to connect the end switches of the 845A relays to the TT terminals in the same aquastat.

As for the oil boiler, I am not sure how you bring it online. Do you turn it on manually?

this coal boiler uses Johnson controls controller relays, A350 module its high/low set for boiler temp, controls underdraft air door opening closing. next module is Y350 power module for 120V connects to all modules, 3rd module is S350 module for overfire control, use it to run zone1 845a relay when I need to dump excessive heat from boiler. theres no extra C1/C2 terminals in any modules.

Thats why I was thinking of elimanating all tthe 845a relays, use the 504exp as main control relay for everything, and PC702-1 plug in module for it to stage circulators off of instaed of oil burner head or coal air draft door. And still be able to wire S350 coal module to 504exp for #1 zone to still be used as dump zone, and when it activates cola boiler circ will come on also, if theres no other zones calling for heat, and if there was there wouldn't be an over fire anyway. thats where the cube relay comes into use, wire it for noraml open to coal boiler circ, so when satge module of 504exp calls for oil boiler to maintain manifold temp at zone manifold and switches on oil boiler circulator, it switches coal circ off until manifold temp is reached and switches back to coal boiler only for heat source. its programable for manifold temp range for switching from one boiler to the other by zone manifold water temp .

I beleive this wil do what I need, a stage module to use for switching my primary circulators, from coal to oil boiler based on coal boiler temps. Plus it will just snap attach to Johnson contols modules already on coal boiler. Run 24V control circuit wires from this to a RIB2401D relay and pumps will be switched. just need to get right RIB for end switch from last zone relay(daisy chained together) to turn primary circulator on when theres a call from zones for heat.

This is how I have mine set up... Keystoker Ka-6 Cir only runs when oil furnace temps below 150.. Using 4006A strap-on I place it on oil furnace (hot) water pipe ,then wire 4006a to TT on Keystoker aquastat. Basically the Keystoker is the work horse and oil furnace just works my zones.

Ok got all control devices, slave stage module relay, RIB relays, for doing change.... Getting a hoffman pull box to centrally mount RIBS, power to circulators, and transformer mount and do all wiring connections in it.. only thing going in/out of it will be 3 MC wires, and 2 TT styles wires. Pull panel will be mounted on wall below circuit breaker box. Generator manual transfer switch is besides CB box. All things will be centrally located electrically for complete house and between coal/boiler location.
