I have looked and its solid inside... doors Are don't seal though like new wood stoves do... thanks for all the input ---did not expect that,, thanks

Meant doors are definetly Not air tight !!

I find my barometric damper functions mostly to limit draft automatically when it's very windy and thus prevents over firing of the stove.

With the terrible strong winds here the past few days,i watched my baro being pulled wide open & the magnehelic still showing up to .15 & even higher a few times. Without a baro ,my stack would likely have been red hot.I normally like to see .03 avg on the magnehelic.
