I was wondering if SS power vents rust out? I have heard that using SS venting will ot hold up for too many years before needing to be replaced so I was wondering about the SS power vent units?

The part that disintegrates is the heat slinger fan. It is aluminum. The best thing to do is every spring the same day you shut the stove down. Remove the motor and fan assy. Clean it real well, Spray it with some WD-40 or similar and store it indoors in a dry area.
