Barometric Damper Placement?

My stove has a rear vent. I have a 1 ft. pipe off the back hooked to a 90 then a 2 ft. section up hooked to the damper into another 2 foot section to a cut section about 1.5 foot to another 90 hooked to the powervent. My question....should I move the damper down to hook to the elbow then put the 2 ft. section above or is it ok the way it is? It seems I have read the recommendation is to hook the damper right into the 90 at the bottom. Will my current set up cause any problems? Thanks in advance for any insight!

The way you have it is best. :)
