Heat

i bought a Pocono 2 90.000 BTU coal stove installed it in my basement piped it through my plenum of my oil furnace to use my blower . stove is fired up and blower is kicking on but iam not getting any heat to the main floor . Not sure where the heat is going stove is hot enough that I cant touch the sides . I have 2 10 inch cold air pipes going into the sides of my jacket one on each side .I plugged off some of the cold air ducts with rolled insulation at the register. Can anyone help with this ? I have a coal trol digital thermostat on it . Please help will wait for response . Thanks for all the help in advance

Are you plumbing it to the Cold Air Return Duct? are you using the Furnace blower or the blowers on the stove?

Post a pic or two of your setup.

What the rating of your Current OIl Furnace?

What's your settings on the Coaltrol? Min/Max, your room temp, Feed Rate, etc...

Do you have a Baro Damper Installed? Have you set your draft correctly?

How does the furnace get cold air return if you plugged the registers? Where is the return air coming from in the two 10 inch ducts you installed?

yes iam pluming it through the cold air side of my furnace which is oil forced air will be using the blower on the furnace to move the warm air it is 130.000 thousand BTU oil furnace I had the stove at max feed 100 percent and still cant move the heat the coal trol was at min 6 max 40 FR 85 percent room temp 70 have installed a jacket you would think it would be hot on top and sides but cool. I have 2 10 inch cold air pipes coming to each side of the jacket that air is coming from the main floor of the house so the air has been heated . I do have some pictures of my setup on here some where .If I open the front door of the stove the top of the jacket will start to get hot . When it was running at 100 percent the stove was very hot but when the blower kicked on and I went up to check the register the air coming out was cold Can anyone help me with this problem Will thank you all now

Sounds like the furnace is bypassing the Pocono...
If the air path does not divert properly into the Pocono...
the heat can not move to the house...

A complete circuit is needed...what air goes out needs to come in from somewhere and vice versa.

And air will always take the path of least resistance...any/all leaks will reduce desired path effectiveness.

If I understand correctly your coal furnace is going into the cold side or return of the oil furnace. It seems the oil furnace blower is finding it easier to pull from its own return openings in the rooms rather than through the coal furnace. Closing off the returns in the rooms going to the oil furnace should force the air to pull through the coal furnace. You stated that when you took the front cover off the coal furnace it got hot on the top. It sounds like air was finally pulling through it because you lowered resistance for it to do so.

It is tough to get a view of everything, but why three pipes coming out of the stove? run the one to the furnace, and be done. I would block off the furnaces cold air return, when the stove is tied in. your warm air is probably getting diluted be the cold air coming down the return.

Also Maybe I missed it, post a general area of where you are. You might be in sombodys back yard who could come and give a look see at it.

Picture 111.31 shows a duct pipe coming out the left side and going up, over the top and going in the right side. The heat doesn't go anywhere! You might as well remove all that pipe and cap the holes.

To move hot air you need a complete smooth circle of moving air..... cold air in from low parts of the rooms that you want to heat, it gets heated, then hot air out, going back to those same rooms, hopefully on the other side of the room from where you took the cold air.
